Napier Workshop for Parents Securing a Fearless Future

This workshop is for parents who have a family member with an intellectual impairment and are thinking about securing their future.

​

This workshop will cover the following:

​​

  • What does the future look like for you and your family member with an intellectual impairment?

  • What safeguards are needed to secure the future of your son or daughter with an intellectual impairment?

  • Successful strategies used by other parents will be shared.

​

Please note:

  • No registration fees, but please tell us if you need to cancel. Registration essential.

  • Morning tea and Lunch provided, let us know if you have specific dietary requirements.

Growing your Vision sustaining the future

This seminar will introduce:

 

  • Strategies to help articulate and set your Vision for your disabled family member with intellectual impairment

  • Tools and understanding the importance of planning for what you want and don't want for your family member

  • It's not only about having a Vision but knowing how to maintain a fully inclusive life for your family member!

May 2022 Seminar Series

This seminar will introduce strategies to help articulate and set your Vision for your disabled family member with intellectual impairment.

​

You will be introduced to the tools and understand the importance of planning for what you want and don’t want for your family. You will understand what it takes and how to set a vision for yourself and your family member. We can promise this won’t be your ordinary workshop for parents.

 

The workshop will cover a variety of topics, including: 

​

  • What does the future look like for you and your family member with an intellectual disability?

  • Enabling Good Lives – what this means for you and your family member.

  • Family Network will inform you, challenge you and encourage you to consider what it will take to create opportunities and pathways typical of other people in the community.
